MOWCVT UPDATES

Thanks to Thom Lauzon’s wife Karen and children Miranda and Alex for thinking of Meals on Wheels of Central VT when planning a surprise birthday party for him. Instead of getting him presents, they decided to ask that people donate to Meals on Wheels, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Thom has become a great supporter of our program. With Thom and a group of investors purchasing, remodeling the property at 30 Washington Street that will be donated after ten years to Barre Housing Services. The income from the downstairs office space and the four apartments upstairs will greatly help sustain our program for years to come. Happy Birthday, Thom!

We’d like to thank everybody at The Tarrant Family Foundation for their recent grant of $10,000. Also thanks to The National Life Foundation for the grant of $7500. These grants will help immensely in growing our organization and fulfilling our mission to help seniors stay in their homes as long as possible.
