Meals on Wheels of Central Vermont provides a meal and a visit to our elderly and disabled neighbors daily. Our goal is to help them remain in their homes as long as they are able.

Meals on Wheels delivery

HOME DELIVERED MEALS
For this service we ask only a small donation. Our suggested donation for home-delivered meals is $5.

OUR CONGREGATE MEAL SITE
City Hotel Café, our home base and congregate meal site at 14 Washington Street in downtown Barre, Vermont, is available for those who are able to get out on their own for a meal and to socialize. The general public is also welcome for lunch at the café, open 11 am-1 pm Monday-Friday. The suggested meal-site donation is currently $4.

MEALS ARE PROVIDED BY DONATION
We do not charge for meals, we only ask for a small donation. We have never, nor will we ever, refuse service based on the ability to donate. Meals on Wheels Central Vermont depends heavily on fundraising and welcomes all donations.

SERVING SIX TOWNS IN CENTRAL VERMONT

MOWCVT UPDATES

Governor Phil Scott has extended the state of emergency for the State of Vermont until November 15, 2020. We will continue with our current COVID 19 procedures until at least November 15. Stay safe, wear a mask, and contact us if you have any questions.

We’d like to thank everybody at The Vermont Community Foundation for their generous donation of $5000. We received this money through the VT Covid-19 Response Fund of the Vermont Community Foundation. Over the last couple of years VCF has been great supporters of our program and appreciate all they do for us.

When COVID hit, programs like Meals on Wheels Orange County stepped up in innovative ways to continue serving their most vulnerable neighbors.

Thank you @HomeDepotFound and @_MealsOnWheels for helping the @ChathamCOA and @RToftheTriangle help older Veterans like George obtain vital repairs to remain safe at home!

COVID-19 showed us that the current support systems for seniors are not enough. We must expand Meals on Wheels services and provide them with life-saving social connections.
